Career Description




As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. This includes operating heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties like basic snow and ice control/removal. You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails. To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties. Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, including litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.You will complete building and ground maintenance duties and general routine roadway and radio system equipment maintenance. You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc. You will receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.An essential part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers, and others.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid North Dakota Class A drivers license with air brakes with a cargo tanker endorsement by the first day of work.Two years of relevant experience.Requires reporting to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events. * If unable to find a candidate with preferred experience, will consider filling this position as an Equipment Operator I:Valid North Dakota Class A drivers permit or North Dakota Class B drivers license by the first day of work. The individual will work as a team member in an infirmary/clinic setting and within the Medical and Psychiatric Service Program. Minimum Qualifications

Psychiatric, medical surgical, and critical care background preferred, but not necessary. Individual must be flexible and innovative in carrying out assigned responsibilities. Must successfully complete standard background and criminal record check and drug screening.LPN requires current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or licensure in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in North Dakota. North Dakota licensure is a condition of employment, and the employing agency will verify and document licensure upon appointment.

The Administrative Assistant II provides support services to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation including the following shared responsibilities:Primary administrator for the North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee (SORAC). Ability to coordinate meetings including scheduling offender hearings, taking meeting minutes, handling various correspondence with offenders, following up on reconsideration requests, and updating system data.High level of organization and project forethought.Work with law enforcement, treatment officials, and other entities to gather documents and information required by the SORAC for offender reviews.Work with a variety of sources and agencies to verify offender historical and current information.Respond to requests from offenders, the public, and criminal justice officials.Generate statistical reports relative to the registration program.Participate in the development of department procedures, policies and web development.Testify in court.Other duties may be assigned or rotated amongst the staff as needed.
