A master's degree in one of the above fields may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement. Salary range for a Specialist starts at $4,696 a month. Minimum Qualifications

Completion of a two-year curriculum in automotive or diesel/industrial equipment technology, and Two years of work experience performing duties similar in type and complexity as those listed in the . Or, completion of a three-year master technology program and one year of work experience performance duties listed in the . Work experience performing duties similar in type and complexity to those to be performed on vehicles and equipment like those to be serviced may be substituted for the educational requirement on the basis of two years of work experience for one year of education(Fleet and Equipment Technician II)* Completion of a two-year curriculum in automotive or diesel/industrial equipment technology and Work experience performing duties similar in type and complexity to those to be performed on vehicles and equipment may be substituted for the education requirement on the basis of two years of work experience for one year of education.Employee hired must have a valid Class B driver's permit with air brakes with a cargo tanker endorsement the first day of work. The employee will then have 30 calendar days to take the behind-the-wheel exam and get the class B driver's license with air brakes and with a cargo-tank endorsement. The district will make the equipment available for the employee to practice driving during these 30 days. Prior to the completion of the probationary period, the employee must have possession of a Class A driver's license with air brakes and with a cargo-tanker endorsement. Successful applicant must provide required tools on the date of hire. List of required tools is available from any district office.Employees will not be required to have residence within a specific travel time or distance from the workplace. As determined by the district engineer or division director, employees will at times be required to report to work within 30 minutes in situations involving emergency, storm, or public safety concerns. Employees with residence outside the 30 minute requirement must make appropriate arrangements to make themselves available during such conditions. Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test, medical screening, reference check and driving records check.
