The individual will work as a team member in an infirmary/clinic setting and within the Medical and Psychiatric Service Program. The position requires a holistic approach to health care service with emphasis on health maintenance through patient education and positive self-initiative. Specific duties include but are not limited to: provision of health care nursing to the resident population; dispensing medication; emergency nursing care; participation in behavioral management procedures and infection control; thorough documentation of patient care and medical records; and individual, group and wellness education. The position work schedule is rotating shifts in a 40-hour work week within a facility that is open 24/7, this includes varies shifts, including nights.

Minimum Qualifications

RN must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the ND Board of Nursing. Requires interpersonal skills and communication skills necessary to perform job duties and must have ability to work with an inmate population on a daily basis. Strong clinical skills required. Psychiatric, medical surgical, and critical care background preferred, but not necessary. Individual must be flexible and innovative in carrying out assigned responsibilities. Must successfully complete standard background and criminal record check and drug screening.LPN requires current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or licensure in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in North Dakota. North Dakota licensure is a condition of employment and the employing agency will verify and document licensure upon appointment. LPN Salary $4,795.00 with full state benefits. Sign on bonus to equal one month's salary.

The NDSH is a Joint Commission accredited facility which serves adult psychiatric, chemically dependent, and secure service populations to maintain or enhance their quality of life with dignity and respect. Those are the individuals we serve, those that are unable to currently help themselves, we provide them a safety net at NDSH.The NDSH is seeking an ambitious and determined Psychologist who has experience conducting assessments and providing treatment services to those with serious persistent mental illness. Among other various duties, you will be responsible to provide court testimony and serve as an expert witness in court-related legal activities as well as have the ability to use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement, identify innovative solutions, and solve complex problems and communicate difficult concepts. Experience in forensic assessment and conducting evaluations is advantageous to succeed in this position. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team who will encourage and support you to continue to grow professionally up to and including continuing the path to becoming the Clinical Director. NDSH is a teaching site for the Department of Psychology, University of North Dakota School of Medicine and also works with students from the School of Pharmacy, North Dakota State University. If selected, you will have the opportunity to work with staff members ranging in experience from recent completion of doctoral programs and internships to those with decades of experience with the severely mentally ill.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners, according to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 43-32, and two-years' experience as a Licensed Psychologist.If unable to find qualified candidates, will consider underfilling this position with a Licensed Psychologist I, which requires a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners, according to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 43-32.If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider underfilling this position with a qualified Psychology Resident, which requires a doctorate degree in psychology and eligibility for a supervised psychological residency as determined by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.
