Conduct field inspections of oil and gas production sites, saltwater disposals, and injection wells to determine if operations comply with current laws, regulations, and policies. Document all inspections in the field activity database and synchronize database daily. Contact operators regarding violations of oil and gas laws and rules. Follow through to see that violations are corrected. Communicate with district supervisor and appropriate agency staff on compliance issues, and coordinate work with other inspectors. Minimum Qualifications

High School degree or a General Education Diploma (GED). Knowledge of working with computers. Knowledge and experience working with hydraulics, motors, pumps, pressure gauges, operating machinery safely, welding, mechanics, or similar fields.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree with coursework in engineering, mathematics, and/or physical science. Preference will be given to candidates with oil and gas experience. Leadership skills, problem solving, self-discipline, time management, a positive attitude and motivated. Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and GIS mapping software. Ability to work in northern plains climate year-round.

Career Description




This position provides direct supervision to individuals placed on parole or probation. This includes completing intakes on clients, developing case plans, and overall management of the clients case. This position is also required to complete pre-sentence investigations for the courts, parole investigations for the Parole Board, and other miscellaneous investigations. Work includes exposure to hazardous conditions potentially resulting in a serious physical injury requiring medical attention, and some lost time from work. Exposure occurs on a periodic or intermittent basis. This position has great deal of interaction with the courts, law enforcement agencies, Parole Board, Pardon Advisory Board, human service centers, Transitional Planning Services and social services agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree with a major in a behavioral science, education, business or closely related field and eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota, and three years of work experience directly interacting with individuals in a correctional, law enforcement, social work, business, education or behavioral health setting. Incumbent must be licensable as a ND Peace Officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63, which includes passing the critical task assessment. Incumbent shall attend the first available basic peace officer training recognized by the ND Peace Officers and Training Board (POST Board) ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20. Must have a valid class D driver's license. Must pass a thorough background investigation and criminal record check. Minimum qualifications for the Parole and Probation Officer I require a bachelor's degree, with preference given to degrees in behavioral science, business, education or closely related field. Must be eligible to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota.
