An ideal team member will be able to work well independently in a variety of situations, with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.Duties and Tasks Develop and prepare legal documents Verify and deposit monies Prepare and reconcile reports Set up new accounts Research databases Input Data Upload documents to an electronic repository Answer phones and direct customers Manage and update multiple calendars Generate outgoing correspondence and prepare for mailing Scan and assign properties to documents Review and add Power of Attorneys to accounts Send email correspondence Enter wage records Design excel files Coordinate unique projects and special events Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and one year of work experience performing a variety of office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional work experience performing office support, clerical or secretarial duties may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to handle difficult situations with composure. Skilled in the use of analytical tools and data analysis methods. Ability to work effectively within a complex work environment. Experience in administrative work and customer service.

As an Unemployment Insurance Field Auditor, you will make a positive contribution to the Tax & Field Department and the Agency by being a productive employee that exemplifies the ideals of accuracy, timeliness, exemplary customer service and teamwork. Field Auditors are oftentimes the face of Job Service ND with employers and their representatives, so it is crucial that they represent the Agency effectively and in a positive manner. In the Field Auditor position, it will be your responsibility to verify that employers are correctly reporting wages. It will also be your responsibility to conduct a thorough search of the employers records for any evidence of misclassified workers. Through the audit process, you will assist employers to comply with the law and obtain data to resolve disagreements and appeals. The primary responsibilities include audit activities, which consist of planning and organizing audits, preparing audit work papers, reports, and applications, as well as auditing employer financial records to confirm compliance with the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program requirements. This position is responsible for obtaining delinquent tax reports from employers and conducting fact-finding, via telephone, in writing, and in-person, to verify and/or obtain information as necessary. The Field Auditor is also responsible for delivering individual and group presentations to educate employers on the requirements of the UI program and will serve as a point of contact for the online employer self-service database. This position involves some travel, which requires a valid drivers license and meeting the requirements to drive an ND State Fleet vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree with course work in accounting and three years of work experience related to the positions duties. Additional work experience can substitute for degree experience on a year for year basis
