This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in highway materials testing, geotechnical exploration, field data collection, engineering, and research. You will work closely with our team in the materials test lab, participating in various projects that contribute to the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure.Key Responsibilities include conducting tests and experiments on various materials used in highway construction and infrastructure projects, assisting with geotechnical exploration and field data collection activities, collaborating with engineers and researchers on ongoing projects related to materials testing and analysis, documenting and organizing data collected from testing procedures, and assisting with general lab maintenance and ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.Why Work With Us:At the NDDOT, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters professional development and growth, get to work with experienced professionals in the field of materials testing and engineering, and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on the development and maintenance of essential infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or any engineering undergraduate or graduate degree program. Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds. Possession of a valid Class D Driver's License for travel within the state of North Dakota.Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
