We're seeking two motivated and driven individuals to join our team focusing on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs. One role will focus primarily on WIOA Youth and the other will focus on WIOA Adult and Dislocated Workers.The WIOA Youth program is a federal program designed to deliver a comprehensive array of youth services that focus on assisting out-of-school youth and in-school youth who may have barriers to employment prepare for post-secondary education and employment opportunities, attain educational and/or skills training credentials, and secure employment with career/promotional opportunities.The WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker are federal programs that provide job training, education, and employment services to eligible adults and dislocated workers. The program is aimed at improving employability, expanding earning potential, and helping participants retain a job by providing a variety of funded activities and services including classroom training, on-the-job training, and support services. Activities can be incorporated into an apprenticeship program with on-the job training and funding to cover education costs.In either role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and tailored case management for the program(s), providing aid in completing applications and determining eligibility for the program(s). Through one-on-one consultations, you will assess clients' goals, strengths, skills, and interests. You will develop personalized action plans and, depending on the program, direct to eligible training, certification, educational opportunities, services, and other resources; offering advice, as well as guidance on resume writing and interview preparation, ultimately helping clients achieve success in the job market.Employment Advisors additionally provide information and assistance to customers utilizing the work center resources via in-person visits, telephone, and electronic inquires. As a team member, you will coordinate program services within the work center to meet customers' needs, provide orientation to services and resources provided within the work center, provide job search, placement, and career counseling assistance, and guidance on navigating the jobsnd.com website and on filing an unemployment insurance claim (if needed). You will collaborate with rural and local workforce partners by conducting presentations, promoting the program(s) to specific groups, identifying training, apprenticeship, and job opportunities; demonstrating website features (such as resume searches, labor market information, and job postings), and educating on other state and federal resources available.Travel may be required during regular business hours throughout the week for training and to perform outreach activities to customers/clients in the following seven counties: Burke, Bottineau, McHenry, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, and Ward.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:a bachelor's degree in education, business management or related studies, or a human services-related field plusat least two (2) years of work experience assessing an individual's talent, hard and soft skill inventory, and/or employment barriers, in order to prepare job seekers and students for the workplace, create career pathways, enhance training opportunities, identify transferrable skills for displaced or disabled workers.Additional work experience can substitute for the educational requirement on a year for year basis.
