This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in reading and comprehending NDDOT (North Dakota Department of Transportation) plans and specifications, along with active involvement in various aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will have the chance to gain practical knowledge in materials testing, construction surveying, and construction inspection.Key Responsibilities include collaborating with the team to interpret and analyze NDDOT plans and specifications, assisting in materials testing procedures, participating in construction surveying activities, supporting the construction inspection process, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.The internship will involve participation in the following Valley City projects:Box Culvert in Valley CityBridge on I94 at RP 260Chip SealsBridge Deck Overlays in I94Paving Projects-various highways (ND 1, ND 13, 52, 281)CPR ProjectWhy Work With UsThis internship provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on learning and professional growth within the framework of real-world construction projects under the NDDOT. Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or civil/construction engineering undergraduate degree program.Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.Possession of a valid Class D Drivers License for travel within the state of North Dakota.Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
