This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of roadway maintenance, traffic control, equipment operation, and sign shop duties. You will have the chance to work closely with our experienced team and contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the Bismarck District's infrastructure.Key Responsibilities include the opportunity to assist in roadway maintenance activities, including repair and upkeep of roads, signs, and other infrastructure components, participate in traffic control operations, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic during maintenance and construction projects, gain practical experience in operating and maintaining various equipment used in roadway maintenance and construction tasks, contribute to the operations of the sign shop, assisting in the production and installation of signs and road markings, and collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance operations. Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GEDMust be enrolled in an undergraduate program in automotive or diesel mechanic, construction tech, engineering tech, engineering, business, or related field Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds. Possession of a valid Class D Drivers License for travel within the state of North Dakota.Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
