As an Employment Advisor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to job seekers, assisting them in their journey to secure meaningful employment opportunities. Through in-person visit, phone calls, and email correspondence, you will assess clients' employment needs, strengths, skills, interests, career goals, and areas for development. You will provide advice, guidance on resume writing and interview preparation, guidance on navigating the jobsnd.com website and on filing unemployment insurance claim (if needed), Labor Market Information, directing to training opportunities, services, and other resources, ultimately helping clients achieve success in the job market. You will also provide administrative service support including, but not limited to, data entry and processing incoming/outgoing mail.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:have a high school diploma andhave at least four (4) years of work experience performing administrative, customer, or employment services duties that involved providing information and assistance to customers within an organization that offers a variety of products or services. Work experience normally includes receiving and analyzing information, determining the available solution(s), and assisting or directing customers in implementing and completing necessary steps to resolve issues or satisfy inquiries.Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.

This position will represent indigent clients in judicial proceedings in the North Central Judicial District and on appeals in the North Dakota Supreme Court. This position will require travel to all counties in the North Central Judicial District and will provide conflict services in other jurisdictions. You will be handling cases from initial appearance through trial, allowing you to gain experience in all stages of the judicial process. The Minot Public Defender Office is made up of a Supervising Attorney, two staff attorneys, a legal assistant, and an administrative assistant. Minimum Qualifications
