The maintenance technician will execute his/her responsibilities with a positive attitude, neat appearance, and friendly and pleasant demeanor toward all coworkers and visitors at the state historic sites. The successful applicant will:assist in mowing and trimming grass at several state historic sites throughout the regionremove trash from all locations and transport to designated dumpsterperform other duties as determined by the Historic Sites Maintenance and Construction Supervisorassist the Historic Sites Maintenance and Construction Supervisor with small maintenance and construction projectsperform all maintenance duties on machinery, tools, and other equipment to keep them in proper working orderassist in maintaining inventory of supplies on hand and inform supervisor of needs

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMust be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basisMust be able to operate a lawnmowerAbility to work flexible work hoursMust adhere to dress codeExperience in the following is preferred: grounds-keeping, operation of power tools, and janitorial workgas and diesel powered equipment and small engineswelding/spot welding to repair equipment when needed
